    Talking Update on dino

I am very happy to say that Dino was out hunting for crickets ate 4 and ate 2 fishes after allllllll by him self.
I'm sooooo happy to see him acting normal after one too many weeks. I followed the awesome advise i got i put 2 more fake plants made his habitat look really busy put calcium in his water and check his stomach (it was normal), kept his temp 82 to 84 and left him alone for a few days n that was what he need it i guess. All i know he is eating on his own and is a bit more active thank you all for the advise.

im glad to hear that dino is doing ok now! i hope he stays eating good and remember not to feed him to many fish! i think making his habitat more busy will help him alot, just once he gets bigger you might want to take a plant or two out so he has more room to walk around if he ever wants to. i wish you and dino luck and i really hope everything stays good!

Dino has half a a 20 gallon tank all to himself. The plants provide good cover and Pacman Frogs often appreciate the added feeling of security. Big Pacman Frogs like privacy, also.

Actually for now Dino shares a 20 gal tank (with a divider) with Chum Chum so its more like he has a 10 gal tank lol. How ever I am planning on separating them within the next month or so and ideally they would have a 10 gal tank each. I got very scared when Dino got sick or change his behavior n thought that Chum Chum could get sick too so it will give me peace of mind to have them separate. Besides since they are both males I don't know if they would want to be so close to each other lol. Regardles of the tank size I can tell that Dino likes it more when there is more plants around. Finally "fyi" fish is not a constant food in his diet actually nothing is constant in his diet i make sure he eats worms crickets pinkys fish and other small insects i get bored of food so i dont want him to get bored of his food =). Thank you all for ur advice n all sugestions are welcomed =)

Yeah, that is what I meant by "half of a 20 gallon tank all to himself.". A 10 gallon tank is also great for Pacman Frogs.

As far as dieting, I just wanted to make sure that you are aware of what needs to be fed, and a general idea of how often. Crickets and safe Night Crawlers or Earthworms can be dusted (at the proper frequency your Pacman Frog needs) with Calcium+D3 and fed on a very normal basis. Many people will only feed their Pacman Frogs both, or even just one of these staple selections the entire lifespan of the Pacman Frog. Blaptica dubia also makes another good staple from everything I have heard.

Other insects commonly fed to Pacman Frogs include mealworms, waxworms, superworms (not to be confused with "Giant Mealworms"), horned worms, etc. All of these selections of food should be fed sparingly. Mealworms have a very tough exo-skeleton, so fed in excess can cause a temporary, but sometimes fatal case of impaction, especially with younger Pacman Frogs. Waxworms are very high in fat, and in most cases should be avoided, however one can be fed on the occasion. Superworms have a softer exo-skeleton than mealworms, but due to their relatively larger size, they are best fed as a treat to mature Pacman Frogs.

Also, fish can be pretty dangerous because of their high fat content. They should not be fed often at all, and definately not anytime near being fed mice, waxworms, or anything else high in fat. It is recomended in most cases (unless fats are overused, or being used more frequently than normal to resolve an issue) that one pinky mouse may be fed per month. As the Pacman Frog grows, some people will upgrade to 2 Pinky mice or 1 Fuzzy. Please note that 2 pinkies is alot more fat than 1 fuzzy. I personally would never feed anymore frequently than listed above. Too much fats can cause major problems, and can easily become a fatal instance.

I recomend a feeding schedule, and at least one good staple food. The Pacman Frog Care Article has more detailed information if you need it.
