Peacock Emerald tree frogs sticky fingers?????

If you could please clarify the problem for me. They are eating their toes when jumping at crickets? Is that correct? Hmm...I've never heard of that before. You could try a cricket bowl to monitor what they are eating. The jumping distance would be shorter so maybe they won't end up with their feet in their mouthes.

No its almost like their toes are sticky and they sometimes "paw" at their faces/mouths and get toes in mouth. Also toes sometimes not splayed out but curled and sticking together. But I don't feel anything "sticky" on their toes.

They're pushing the cricket antennae/legs farther into their mouths. When you notice them doing it the other times, is it just after they wake up? They shed their skin and eat it, using their "hands" to pull it up and over kind of like a sweater. They also open their mouths repeatedly while they shed, to help it move along. I thought my red eyes were dying the first time I saw it happening!
