    Default Getting a new viv

    Hey guys!

So, a customer of mine came in today and asked if I wanted to buy a setup from him. It's an Exo-Terra cage, but I am not sure on the size. He said it's the smaller one (could be 12x12x12 or 12x12x18) and it's mine with everything for $20. Now, my issue is that I have no idea what to put in something this size. If there any type of frog (tree frog preferably) that stays small enough to live in that size of an enclosure for it's entire life?

    Any suggestions would be helpful!

    Thanks!!

The 12x12x18 is equivalent to ten gallon vertically so it would make a good grow out tank but preferably you would want to go to the next size up for adult frogs...especially if you get more than one.

Thanks. I will find out what size of tank it is tomorrow some time. Hopefully it's a decent size...

I'll probably use it for quarantine when I get a new WTF.

    Sarah,
If it's small, ssing it for a quarantine is a great idea.
It's good to have one ready to go. Knock -on-wood!

I have kept a pair of walking bumblebee toads in the 12x12x12, but yeah.. other than that I'm not sure what would be a good fit.

My manager was telling me to get some Bird Poop Frogs. ^.^ I think they're adorable, but they are hard to find. =/ I think I am going to wait to set up another tank. Since I have no real space to put this new one, I sold the setup to one of my coworkers. Haha.

Thanks for the info though, guys. I know this information will come in handy when I want to set up my second tank. =]

Good luck! I wish I could set up a second tank, but I'm going to college so I can't haha oh well, I'll go to college so I can get a job to make money to buy more frogs.
