My pac man frog has had a strange almost zit looking growth right below his nostril above his mouth at first I thought it was nothing just a little bump but in the last couple of weeks it has gotten larger... is it a wort or a possible infection? I changed his coir complete once a month and pasteurize it once between tosses to my compost bin and I clean the glass with a 10% alchohol solution then allow to dry thoroughly before I replant his coir or him to help prevent infection... kinda worried about him any thoughts? need a pic?... help?... hopefully if it's an infection it can be handled at home when I first got him he was a slight neglect case and the only vet that knew anything about amphibians was expensive and a few hours away... if it is necessary I'll find a way though but anyone encounter an issue like mine before?
P.s.
My old lady thinks one of the superworms I fed him pinched his lip when it was trying to wriggle out and thats what caused it, is that possible? I don't feed rodents by the way so he wasn't scratched by a rodent claw.
Thank you so much...
You need to send us pics so we can see what the absess looks like. It is very possible that the super worm bit the frog. They have very powerful jaws and can harm the frog. A lot of people reccomend smashing the head of the worm before offering it to the frog to prevent bites. Again photos would be helpful.
