    Default Zoo Med Repti Fogger

    Hi guys/gals.

    Recently I purchased this product.

I have an 18x18x24 Exo Terra, and whenever I turn on the fogger, it fills the whole tank up for the most part.

Well, if it's nighttime, the frogs will sometimes start chirping as soon as I turn it on. And jujst today when I turned it on, 2 of the frogs woke up. I turned it off and they went back to sleep.

Is it possible that this bothers them? I initially bought it to raise the humidity, but not sure it's worth it if it's bothering them.

Anybody have this product, or have any advice? Thanks.

What kind of frogs is it being used on? Well I dont think it bothers them, if anything they should be enjoy it. They only advise i have is take good care of it (the fogger) cause it can/will burn up easily. I had one and it broke after a few months plus i hated having to put water in it all the time. So after watching this video-http://youtu.be/3dH6z3-23FE- i made my own and it works great and I only have to fill it once a month or so.Just an idea

I have 3 RETFs in the enclosure. I just wonder why it wakes them up.

I watched that video. Definitely something to think about down the road. Thanks.

I have had one hooked up to my Red Eye tank for the last three three years. It is the same one and still works well. Howevever, I do have it hooked up to a Zoo Med Hygro Therm. It is a device that monitors the humidity in the tank and only turns it on when the humidity drops below a desired setting. The humidifier only comes on for about 15 to 20 seconds about six times a day. I refill the water about once a week. The device also monitors a heating device for you as well.

I would highly doubt it would bother the tree frogs, as fog is in most treefrog's natural environment. I use this same product for my WTF's. my frogs love to jump all through it when i turn it on. I have rigged ( cut hole in top of cage, slide tube in blah blah blah) my cage to have the tube in the bottom so the fog fogs the botom instead of the whole cage.
