Well, my husband and I has really discussed the options, and we are both opting for putting him to sleep. Anyone know how to do it with the clove oil?

Well I tried the clove oil.... All it did was put him in a frenzy, and made his belly, feet and legs turn blood red. My last resort was the baby orajel qtips...... I went through 3 of them, but he's in froggy heaven now. He isn't hurting or suffering anymore. But I know my heart is. They say death comes in threes..... I wonder if this would actually count considering I put him to sleep myself??? If it does, then lord help me and say a prayer for my family!!!
Thanks for all the advice guys!

He was the only one that croaked nightly. Didn't matter if he'd just eaten, or been misted. The middle of the night was his time to talk, and he sure did. My house is silent now. No more croaking.
Sorry Tori,
I now about the croaking, I remember you mentioning that.
You did the right thing.
Oh, and by the way, I doubt the Lord will hold you responsible for the euthanasia of your froggie; on the contrary !
Humans spend hours every day on earth helping the suffering.

<The Rainbow Bridge
inspired by a Norse legend
By the edge of a woods, at the foot of a hill,
Is a lush, green meadow where time stands still.
Where the friends of man and woman do run,
When their time on earth is over and done.
For here, between this world and the next,
Is a place where each beloved creature finds rest.
On this golden land, they wait and they play,
Till the Rainbow Bridge they cross over one day.
No more do they suffer, in pain or in sadness,
For here they are whole, their lives filled with gladness.
Their limbs are restored, their health renewed,
Their bodies have healed, with strength imbued.
They romp through the grass, without even a care,
Until one day they start, and sniff at the air.
All ears prick forward, eyes dart front and back,
Then all of a sudden, one breaks from the pack.
For just at that instant, their eyes have met;
Together again, both person and pet.
So they run to each other, these friends from long past,
The time of their parting is over at last.
The sadness they felt while they were apart,
Has turned into joy once more in each heart.
They embrace with a love that will last forever,
And then, side-by-side, they cross over… together. >

Lynn, thanks. That poem reminded me of my horse I used to have. You'd swear he was a really big over grown lap dog with the way he acted. But I know I done the right thing instead of making him suffer more. He's already suffered enough and I doubt very seriously the leg could've been fixed. I feel horrible because I've waited and made him suffer this long and I've used clove oil before and I know it set my mouth on fire. So I can just imagine how he felt. But he's in a better place now. Thanks guys.
Soo sorry Tori. There is nothing wrong with trying and having hope for a recovery. You did right by him.
Yeah, you did the right thing. I am so sorry for your loss..![]()
