Just need a wiser-than-I opinion here. Was out at the ranch last weekend and came across this little guy.
(I have a mouthful of sunflower seeds in the vid; sorry for the slurps!)

Hi and welcome to Frog Forum! Wow! Nice catch! After watching the video, it is certainly a toad, but not a spadefoot. Spadefoots are quite small (< 2.5 inches), have smooth skin and vertically elliptical pupils (like cat's eyes). Toads usually have horizontally elliptical pupils. Based on location, it is probably a Gulf Coast Toad. They have a broad, dark lateral stripe bordered above by a light stripe.

Welcome to the forum! Definitely a great find! Do you plan to keep it?

Looks like a common southern toad, or a texas toad. I have three right now and they make wonderful pets. Should be some pictures in my profile actually in an album.
Texas Toad looks about right. Thanks for the positive ID. I'm still learning! Will edit the video to reflect bufo speciosus.
