The best way to keep these roaches is the K.I.S.S. method..
Keep It Simple Stupid!

haha! i have mine in a 10gal glass terrarium with a screened lid and a 100 watt heat lamp that keeps the temps around 80-90 degrees in the warmer spot directly under the light. Temps need to be high to get them breeding quickly. A better way to keep them is a large plastic tote. Just cut a decent sized square hole in the top, hot glue some screen on the hole, and place your heat lamp there.

For food and water, just use fruits and vegetables. No need for a water dish, it just makes a huge mess... (trust me on this one...)
As long as the food isnt rotting it should be fine, I always throw some stale cereal in there once in awhile, they absolutely LOVE cheerios!

Besides that just keep enough egg crates/paper towel tubes for them to hide and keep them away from bright sun (they dont like that too much..)

These are by a LONG shot the best feeders you can have, IMO. Very minimal to no smell, no noise, no climbing, no jumping, very easy to care for and breed!
