We got ours nearly two months ago. Ur story seems really similar to ours. I think that its also the change in environment for them and they need to get used to it. We've slowly added more branches etc for the frogs to explore and they love it now. The bigger one was posin on a leaf the other nite whilst I tried to get some decent pictures lol. They're slowly 'comin out of their shells'. They're not bothered by ours cats either which is cool. I'm glad u saw urs eatin. That's brilliant news!

Thanks Mim I bet they're loving the branches! I've spotted mine lazing on the leaves and also one down by the waters edge (I've a false bottom tank design, with a small pool at one end for them to use, vine work and branches are hanging over it)

I'd love to see some pics of yours/their enclosure

Here's to continued success for both of us!

shanny is putting you in the right direction, a big frog is intimidating to a smaller frog and is probably scared to eat. Seperate the frogs immidiatly, as the small one maye be sick adn could be contagious( not trying to scare you). If you have any questions about Wtf's pm me on the site and i will reply when i get a chance, Peyton

Thankyou for the offer of extra help and advice Peyton. I'll be keeping a close eye on him, and may look to move the little one to a temporary enclosure to fatten up if he doesn't eat again. However as of the present he is being active, i've witnessed him eat in the shared tank, and he is holding a consistently bright green colour. He also appears to have gained some weight since purchased a couple of weeks ago, though certainly not on par with the other.

I hope I don't appear to be dismissing your advice, as it is appreciated, just at the present,as he seems to be settling, I will wait and observe

Glad to see he/she is doing better. when I bought my baby WTF he was always brown and didnt eat for the first 2 days. And he turned green and ate and I sold him. But i am glad to hear your WTF is getting better, and his not eating may have been caused by stress( every frog is stressed at first whne brought to a new home). If you have any questions pm me on the site. Keep us posted on your new frogs. I am quite curious to see how the smaller one goes on through life.

I'm not sure how large your Whites are, but once they grow larger they are probably going to need a larger enclosure (around 30 gallons). It could also help with the feeding, it's good that he is eating now! Also, if you haven't checked out the care sheet on this site for Whites frogs, I would encourage you to do so! It's a great guide for starters
