    Unhappy Worst frog mom ever.....

I got my tank from my friend, little did i know when it closes, in the very back there is a spot just big enough for frogs to escape, and thats exactly what they did sometime last night. My ENTIRE day has consisted of me ripping my entire room apart looking for them, every nook and cranny was searched but to no avail. I still have one, Hector, but bubbah was my special boy and he got out too. I am so sad and mad at myself for not knowing about the crack. I am so heart broken that i can't find them. Needless to say, I got a bigger better tank for them, and my boyfriend will be doing his new habitat. Is there anything I can do next? I should get companions for Hector if they don't show themselves right? URGH. worst day ever.

Put out some water for the AWOL frog. By the way, what kind of frog are we talking about?

Your not the worst, it was a genuine mistake that you didn't see and now you're trying your best to find them. Try leaving fresh water sources around the room if they happen to find them. Also it would probably be very annoying, but maybe you could spread some crickets throughout your room? You just have to keep checking everywhere - under tables, along walls, unusual places, etc. They couldn't of gone far since it was only in your room. Hope you find your lost frogs, sorry.

Sorry Kurt; I was typing out my answer right as you posted so it looked like I just reinstated (copied) what you had said. Yeah to know what type of frog is pretty important, whether it's terrestrial, capable of climbing, nocturnal or diurnal, and lethargic or active will narrow down where they could of ended up.

Hah, spend a few minutes looking up videos of frog "terrariums" on youtube and you'll see that you are fffffffffaaaaaaaaaaarrrr from the the worst.

One other thing I would say is that most people have somewhat humid bathrooms due to the showers/sink/toilet, so the frog might wind up in there.

you all are so helpful. I no lie looked for them all day. Just now getting to bed. They are baja California tree frogs, so i looked high, and low. I thought about the bathroom too, we have plants in there as well so I'm going to keep looking. I did wonder about the cricket too. I don't mind doing that, as ling as hey have food while they are on their annoying little adventure. Any other things I can do? I was feeling really bad about how poorly I prepared this....and really i am being hard on myself because the habitat itself was awesome and they were as pampered at frogs can be, but I'm disappointed that I let this happened. In the horrible off chance I don't find them....which seems kind of likely, do I get more for my remaining one? Thank you all so much for your help, it really means a lot, I've been wanting to get them for a long time and i messed it up!!!

    Hi
Check ALL heat sources or any appliance that gives off heat..

Do you have a dog or a cat?
If so, follow them around----- everywhere they go .

My friend lost a baby snake once- and, observed the cat quietly starring directly at the spot where she found the snake ( behind the radiator)

    We will keep hoping!

Ya I have a dog who is AMAZING and finding things without hurting them. So I watched him and every time he did something that made me think he found something, I'd check. But to no avail ): I basically took apart my space heater, and even looked really well around my TV and in its crevices. Alas, I think they are gone ): My boyfriend said they probably found some way to get outside, which isn't So bad I guess, we have a lush beautiful garden and there is always lots of water provided outside. I have one froggie left and my boyfriend wants to get companions, but he was wondering about mixing the breeds, i wasn't sure it was such a good idea, so I thought i would ask.....is it? lol if so, what breeds would be best? He is a baja california tree frog.
