I just found a baby alligator lizard in my kitchen, smaller then my thumb. I'm half tempted to put him in the tank with my California tree frogs. Is that a bad idea? My boyfriend wants me to put it outside. What should I do?
Return it outside, keeping any different species together is a very bad idea, it can kill both species off. Any idea what kind of lizard it is? picture?
Edit: Sorry, skipped over the alligator part.
I you really want to keep an aligator lizard as a pet, you should first of all setup a proper terrarium for it. After that, you should get a captive bred animal.
In short, release the little fellow.
Well, I would still like to know what species, if the thread-maker know which kind. There are 7 (if I remember correctly) species of aligator lizardsOriginally Posted by Badger
