Spotted this little bloke after i came home from work tonight. Somehow hes managed to get inside the house and survive without being spotted by our 3 cats.. also inside..
I live in Brisbane, Australia, well Redbank Plains more so Ipswich and quite a bit of bush around me. I did some research and cant find anything exactly matching but if had to guess id say its a Salmon-striped Frog.
Anyone know exactly?
Cheers
Tim.
I'm pretty sure it's a pobblebonk (banjo frog) but if not, its definately a limnodynastes. I dont think its a salmon striped frog though.
Thanks Kristen! I wouldnt say im a frog enthusiast, more so im a photographer, but this little guy had me intrigued! Had never really seen anything other than regular tree frogs and toads :/
Thanks for the identification, going on research, seems there isnt meant to be many of this guy up in my area.. am i right? Seem to be more common down your way.
Well, you do have pobblebonks up there, but different to the ones down here, yours is Limnodynastes terraereginae Northern Banjo Frog,
