can you please give me some advice on the best way to transport Kermit?
i tried the force feeding with no luck. i couldn't get his mouth open. i felt if i forced any harder i would hurt him. i'm going to give him a bath as suggested. hoping the vet can help but today is Sunday so is it will be hard to find one. if so only this afternoon.
Hmm. Try force feeding again when you can. You can transport him in just about any household container, like tupperware, just make sure to poke holes in the top so the he can breath. Good luck, and keep us posted!
i'm really sorry to say it but Kermit died early this afternoon!
Oh no, I'm sorry for your loss ): I'm sure you did everything you could to save him. Even if you did get to a vet I don't know if he would have been saved. For your own sake, don't buy another underweight frog if you can avoid it, not to sound harsh. I hope this first bad experience doesn't turn you off from the wonderful world of frogs!
Thankyou! and thankyou for all you're help. i ordered the frog especially, they told me they got it locally from a supplier but i heard often they get them from the czech republic, so i think this was the case. it had probably had a long trip before arriving to me and was stressed. soon there will be a reptile and anfibian fair close to me and i will go and choose a healthy specimen. thanks again!
Awesome, shows are the best, great deals, and I heard the one's over in Europe are better than the ones here. Good luck!
