Hey all.
I found mites(not springtails...the springtails in there have recently died out actually...) in my chubby frog's tank. After a bit of effort, I got a look at one of them through my jeweller's loupe. Firstly, ew, secondly they're definitely mites. They're round and off-white/cream coloured with a darker spikish set of mouth-parts. With the naked eye, just pale whitish dots. I think they might have come in on the woodlice I've put in there, but I'm not sure. Does anyone know if these could be harmful?
Thanks.
I do not know if they are harmful, but it's not worth the risk.
Take your Chubby out, an clean out his entire enclosure.
Better to be safe than end up with a dead frog... no?
