Hi there nice going on nice aged firebellies hope youre going to post pics
Hi
I have 2 firebellies. I have had one of them for 19 years, and the second for 18 years. The first was rescued from a petshop, where he was being squashed by a load of salamanders. The shop owner didn't know he was in there! He was fully grown and has very bright colours. The second came from a breeder, so he was younger. The first one still has his bright colours, but the second has gone dull over the years. They are both male & kept in an unheated tank with moss, bogwood and two separate ponds. (they like one each, but swap often). The tank is lit with a small 20w bulb that gives off a little heat. They have the light on each evening, all through the year and do not hibernate. They eat worms, and come onto a flat rock to feed. They will eat out my hand. I will take some pics soon. Jen X Oh, just noticed this says junior member! Deffinately wrong!

Here is the oldest, sitting on the rock waiting for a worm. I must apologise for their unimaginative names. This one is Toady, and his mate (you can just see his head in the background) is Froggy. They spend quite a bit of their time out of the water, and although the rock is dry in this photo, the whole tank gets a soaking every week when I top up their ponds.
awesome pic thanks for sharing
