I've been a nurse for 15 years now. I worked a small bit of agency contract nursing and home health care back when I first started.
I worked in CVICU for about a year and then went to a better schedule in med/surg. It's definitely a busy unit. Constant running around. A bazillion IV meds, lol! But when it's not too stressful, I really enjoy it. Unfortunately I do work weekends, lol! Every weekend and either Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. I work 12 hour (often 13-14 hour) shifts, but I have off 4 days a week.
I originally wanted to be a flight nurse, but then had my daughter. Things changed quite a bit. And my ex was in the military and then at the police academy and was gone a lot, and I wanted to be able to be home with my daughter, hence the 12 hour weekend shifts.
I love helping people! Makes me smile

Wow! That sounds awesome too! There's a lot of education for diabetics. You must be an excellent resource for them.
PA is a pretty state. Lots of greenery. Trees, plants, bright colors. Where I live it is very mellow and relaxing. I live in the suburbs. The homes are nicely spaced and there is a large field behind my house with lots of quiet wildlife...deer, groundhogs, birds, squirrels, chipmunks, wild turkeys, etc. It's very pretty!
