    Default Hello frog people

    African Bullfrogs rule!!!
I saw my first African Bullfrog while on a field trip to the National Zoo in Washington DC. He looked nearly the size of a dinner plate. I was only in the third grade and that was 25 years ago. I told my dad that I wanted to get one. A zoo keeper overheard me and said that you can't keep them as pets and that they are hard to take care of. I said that someday I will get one. Twenty-four years later I got a 3 1/2 inch long male Giant African Bullfrog. I have had him for a year now. He is about six inches long and his name is Jeremiah.

He eats anything I give him. I try to give him as varied a diet as possible to keep him healthy. Most recently he ate 100 crickets in one sitting.

That's a great story. It's good to see your determination paid off in the end. Do you have any photos of Jeremiah?
