    Default Upgrade!

Picked up the Zoo Med 511 today, and I gotta say it works pretty great. The canister is well designed and has a nice convenient latch system. Love the spray tube too. I positioned the spray tube underwater as it's really loud, and it seems to make her nervous lol. I also keep it on the opposite side of the intake therefore it keeps everything moving toward it. Pretty stoked about not having to siphon water out every other day! Only thing I want to do from here is a bigger tank. Not sure what size yet, but it's in the future...Here's what it looks like

    looks good.

no way to tone down the "current"? seems like a lot of pressure just looking at the pictures. wonder if a dimmer type switch would work. Maybe simply obstructing the current a bit with something would be better. I just picture the frog freaking out 24/7 thinking its caught in some rapid's it can't escape.

I thing a rock/brick would do. So that he can get out of the water and bask.
I like the tub idea. Tanks are heavy, overrated and usually overpriced.

No need to really. Its a decent current but nothing that stresses her out. She just doesn't like the tube above the water because its noisy I think. I'm gonna keep an eye on her behavior to make sure its not bothering her. She seems to love it actually. I caught her in dive mode sitting in front of it lol. Also another great thing is when I throw night cralwers in the spray bar keeps them moving around a lot. Now I can feed and not have to help her out finding them.
