I went with the topsoil over eco earth b/c I was going to go with a live plant, I just haven't picked one out yet. And it would cost ALOT to make it deep enough for a good root system to form with eco earth. Is topsoil not ok?

Also the rocks in the water dish is a bad idea. Your frog could accidentally ingest one and become impacted. The substrate looks dry. Is it always a sandy color?

Going to change to a another water dish with no rock. The topsoil isn't dry at at all. I mist 2x a day and it's wet to the touch.

I could never get mine to eat dubias. They seemed to not like them and spit them out. I feed crickets,mice and am going to try the new pacman food from japan. Its cheap on the wholesale list.

I haven't noticed a change in health only feeding crickets and mice. I've had a frog eat a new born rabbit. As long as they are a "in shape" frog and not obese they seem to do great.

I have a dubia colony for my bearded dragons and I just hope I can keep him on them.

On the feeding mice as Mike mentioned. One every month at most no more. They are very fattening and can cause serious health issues if fed to frequently to your frog. Also yours is too small for mice so don't try it. They need to be 2 to 2 and a half inches to eat new born pinky mice. Try red wigglers and crickets. Break the rear legs off the crickets to make them slower and easier to catch.

I will pick up some crickets and red wigglers tomorrow.
