UVB and vitamin D3

Sorry I am a newb and I was wondering if I use a T-5 light strip do I still need to supplement with vitamin D3 or will the light provide the D3? I have a bullfrog buy the way. I don't know if that matters...

Frogs get most of these things from their diet, not from sunlight - these are not reptiles. So supplements are the way to go. You do not need a UV light for frogs, and in most cases it can be damaging to the frogs or they will actively avoid it.
