Thank you for welcome and care information Royce! Will keep in mind when remodeling set-up. Light fixture heat lamps are used round the clock to keep tank warm since house thermostat is kept between 70-75F through the year.

If you would like to keep the temperature at a normal, steady level, use a under-tank heat pad. The lights are hard on the frog, and frogs like darkness at light, the red light may be disturbing it.
Also, just to let you know, when you do remodel that tank, it is not an option to have a land portion of the tank, it is a MUST.

Welcome Mentat! Great to see another pixie frog enthusiast. The care sheet written for this species is awesome, isn't it? He's got a lot of brown on him for being a P. adspersus, interesting.
Great looking frog. Do you have a thermometer/hygrometer?
It's a true African Bullfrog (giant), not dwarf. I just meant that it's unusual to see one with that much brown on it - never really seen that before. You can tell it's a giant because of the three green stripes that go down their back as babies all the way until they sexually mature.
Great, At least you aren't using one of the crappy analog ones![]()
