New Enclosure: Adjusting Period?

I was wondering how long it normally takes for a Pacman Frog to settle into a new home? I move my little guy or girl into a 10 gallon glass terrarium last weekend, but I don't think he/she is comfortable with the new environment yet. He/she hasn't been coming out for feedings, I've had to dig up him/her in order to make sure he/she eats something - which he/she has, at least one cricket the past few nights and sometimes two.

The temperature in the terrarium is maintained at 80 degrees because I have a heating pad a light fixture (with dimmer) to control the temp., the humidity stays between 70 and 90 percent, so the conditions are ideal!

The new environment is probably stressful since he/she is used to a smaller set up (XL critter tote) and I'm sure he/she is still adjusting, but I was curious as to how long this process lasts.

Should be back to normal in a few weeks, at least in my experience, but I've never kept a pac.

Some adapt within a few hours and others take a week or two. As long as he she has something to eat you shouldn't worry yet. 90% humidity won't harm your frog ,but is too high. Humidity that high can cause the substrate to develope standing water underneath it which is bad as the standing water can become stagnant and make your frog ill if obsorbed. You probably have nothing to worry about though. Don't unbury him/her tonight to see if he/she emerges on his/her own. Unburying can cause more stress.

It's only hits 90 on a few occasions, normally stays between 70 and 80%! I dug into the bottom of the substrate and there was no standing water, so that's a relief. Hopefully he/she gets use to the new home!

I agree with Grif, unburying a lot can stress a frog out. Hopefully she will settle in soon. Good luck!
