When I purchase new plants- I rinse the roots off really well , re-pot the plant in tropical soil ( coco fiber) in a new , clean plastic pot.
I leave them out of the enclosure for 2 weeks or more depending on the size of the plant. You don't want any any chemical etc introduced into the enclosure.
