Question same spawn/very large size differences ?

    Comet and Luna a.k.a. Stubby
    purchased 8/9/2/10

Would anyone want to comment on why there is such a difference in growth rate.
Besides the obvious -of the possibility of 2 different sexes. I was thinking it was too early in development to see such a disparity. Don't know? They both eat really well. You will notice, the shorter one ( pic #2) is actually fat. He's a little embarrassed !

I have not been over feeding him- he has been over eating

They both have tons of little white spots. They look like 2 little poka-dot frogs. So Cute.

    Below --- Pic #1-- longer one --"Comet" 1- 7/8" ? her

    Below -- Pic #2 "Luna" shorter one- a.k.a. stubby -- just about 1-3/8 " ? him

Last night was Luna very first night out of the quarantine tank, having been there since 8/9/10. Enough is enough! I got up 3 times to check on him. Once he was climbing around, and twice he was feeding. Now he is sound asleep. I hope tonight will go as well ?

My bet would be just plain old individual variation. Different individuals will grow to different sizes even in the same environment, just based on genetics. If you had, say, 100 of them, you'd probably see a nice normal distribution of sizes around these two.

True. I'll just have to continue calling "Stubby".
He is beginning to as wide as he is long.
