Has anyone used the Exo Terra Cricket Pen?
Exo Terra : Cricket Pen / Holding Pen with dispensing tubes
They look nicer somehow than the Lee's Cricket Keepers. But they're not on Amazon so no reviews.Just wondering if anyone here has any experience with them.
ETA: Also, the site says it "holds up to 50 adult crickets," but it doesn't say whether that applies to the small or large size.I'm guessing the large... ?
I purchased on of these at one time.
It's small and the tubes get very soiled with cricket 'moo moo'. Toilet tissue rolls can simply be thrown away.
However, the dishes are great for the little crickets because they can use the ramp to climb into the feeding dish.
I use bins now but kept the feeding dishes.

I have the cricket keeper. It works well. Easy to rinse out and clean. I line the bottom with a paper towel also. I have had up to 75 medium to large crickets in mine at a time. But they are gone within two weeks. I would recommend you rinse and clean it out at least every two weeks because they are dirty, stinky bugs. And to keep disease and feces to a minimum. I also toss all previous food and eggcrate/cardboard when I clean it. I like the tubes bc then I don't have to chase the crickets around trying to hand catch them for a feeding.

I have the cricket pen, two actually. They work fine, basically same thing as a cricket keeper... I usually keep somewhere btween 25-45 crickets in the small one and have few deaths. Tubes are very handy as well.
