Yeah It's completely fine if the humidity is 90%, better for more than not enough. Spring water is fine, but they do benefit from some of the minerals left in tap water after dechlornating. Plus it's just a lot cheaper to fill a water bowl or spray bottle with tap water and dechlorinate it.

Pick up a bottle of Reptisafe (Dechlorinates the water and adds calcium) and dechlorinate your tap water when you get home. You'll be good.

Just keep it in mind .When you are using lighting for these frogs, always keep an eye on your temps. The other thing is if your top is screened, you loose alot of heat and humidity. Its better to have 3/4 glass and 1/4 screen. You will keep the heat and humidity in.

I will. My lid is a full screen and the humidity and temp. are both at 80 (misted over an hour ago). I have the 10 Gallon Zilla Critter Cage, which has the lock-in screen top. Would I be able to fit glass in it? If not, I'll follow Grif's suggestion with the plastic if I notice the temp. and humidity dropping too much.

Alright, guys - I see what y'all mean about the humidity. It isn't rapidly lowering, but while I'm asleep, it could drop to 60 or lower - which isn't good. Is any plastic wrap ok to use? Or is there any way I can rig some glass to fit my habitat?

Alright, I just got back from PetSmart. I purchased the Exo Terra 50 watt Sun Glo Tight Beam bulb, the Exo Terra 50 watt Heat Glo Infrared bulb, and a Fluker's 5.5 inch Clamp Lamp with Dimmer. Sound right? And how bright should I keep the lights?

You'll adjust the light until it maintains the correct temp that you want it. turn it up a little under half and adjust up as needed. Also when you mist for humidity the temp will drop for a bit as moist air is cooler than dry air. Unless you mist with warm water. Keep me posted. Try and keep the fake plant if you have one under the light so the beam doesn't sit directly on the substrate. Not necissary but I usually do it that way.

Currently don't have any fake plants in the terrarium and the light is directly hitting the substrate, but the temp. is staying at around 78 degrees at the moment - I have the brightness a couple notches under the max. Going to pick up a fake plant sometime this week though.

Your light should be in the center of the lid and cover the on both sides of the lid on the cool and warm side with plastic wrap. It will hold heat and humidity better and you won't have to dial the lamp up so high. Make sure you don't put the plastic wrap under the lamp.

Thanks for the tips, advice, and suggestions! Right now the temp. is at 80 degrees and I have dialed it down as it rises. Humidity is at about 85%, so all is well. He/she is buried under the substrate, but hopefully he/she will come up for dinner now that his/her habitat is nice and warm!
