Default Finally - We've got a Red Eye

We got our red eye tree frog today. It is absolutely beautiful. I was amazed at how cool it is.

I'm sure we will have tons of questions, but right now we are just enjoying having the viv WITH a frog!

Stickers wakes around 10:00 pm. Bubbles a little later, usually around midnight. Bubbles is my baby. He sleeps longer than my adult.

They are in my room, so all of the lights are usually off. If I'm up late they'll wake if I only have a dim light on, like my reading light or computer.

I dont have a heat lamp on mine during the night. But my room usually stays somewhere in the 70s. Lights go off at 10pm followed by misting and feeding. I like to give the frogs some time to wake up, hydrate, molt, and then feast!

While I was studying in Costa Rica We were out camping and there were Red Eyes everywhere in the trees at night. It was really cool to see breeding and predation in the wild. The nights were chilly...probably mid 60s.
