Help Identifying these frogs....

Hmm, this is interesting. They do seem to have features of both.

They could be Hyla chrysoscelis, Cope's Gray Treefrogs.

Okay Both my Greys were bright solid green when I first found them... Frodo changed darker with a pattern and then grey within the first week. However Sam the smaller younger one stayed bright green for a few months... showed pattern off and on periodically (look at album). But if you really want to know watch there back hind legs as they grow . Greys have a very significant yellow markings on there back legs. American Green Tree Frogs get that white line down from mouth down there side. Also Greys have a lil marking almost like a square of different pattern under there eyes from what I have seen. (once again refer to my albums).

No Pattern or 1 and 4, 2 has yellow on his back legs, 3 shows marking under eye. This is a all the same frog a Grey Tree Frog. More pics are in my albums.

I don't see how you are ruling out Gray Tree frogs from these photos. They look like the many little Grays I see around here when fresh out of the water (my locals are Hyla versicolor, visually identical to Hyla chrysoscelis, see also the picture of the young one in the caresheet). I'm not saying they can't be something else though. Given that they may have traveled from anywhere makes it more difficult, though it's most likely a USA native given the source and how annoying it can be to cross borders with plant shipments.

I've only seen a few pictures of juvenile Hyla cinerea (not native here but I do have an adult) and I got the impression that they were generally smoother than these pictures show. No guarantee though. A few months should help clear things up.

They could be Hyla versicolor as grey's can be green and the reason they are called Versicolor as far as I know is because they change colour and green is one of those colours. The eyes also match so they probably are Grey Tree frogs.

LOL, I actually have these around my house. They are about 18 inches in diameter, have 5-6 inch conifer trees protruding from above the eyes, are round, and keep the deer and coyote populations in check.
