i just have crickets stocked in my thing at all times and i use the glass bowl trick where u take a 2inch deep glass bowl and bury it in there a bit and u put the crickets in there and they cant get out so its better on the frogs and they dont get a mouthfull of moss. when storing them i use a small cricket keeper and i use 3 week old crickets and they never escape from there as far as i know. id get a cricket keeper since they have worked awesome for me and no crickets have jump out when i open the lid (barely need to open it since there is tubes the crickets go into and you just take the tubs out and the crickets go out from there. id check out the guy aboves link cause that has some good info on it
