Run for cover! That frog looks like it's about to explode any second.

Can that thing even move? What do you feed it, how much and often?

HOLY ****! She is huge. Is it normal for them to get that fat before estivation? I can't believe how huge she is a beautiful frog though.

She looks a little underfed. Beautiful female; now I'm kind of into ornates. What is she around like 2-3 years old now, or older?

I can smell some ''exaggeration''. Anyway my frogs in perfect health as with my many frogs. First questions just not worth answering. I feed all my frogs on a mixture of roaches, locusts, crickets, earth worms and the occasional mouse/chick every 2 mnths or so.

Ps; Before this picture was taken she was given a bath for an hour or so whilst i went to the pet store for eco earth she had no food in her at this point she is 8inch snout to vent and 6inch wide.

    thanks

Do you have any pictures of your frog next to a ruler? Just curious because that will be the biggest horned frog I know.

I thought this female Ornata was big at the NARBC in Anaheim I went to back in September... Nope, they're bigger beasts out there and Deejay happens to own one.

That's understandable though for soaking the water that long; I'm curious though how much does she typically eat when you feed her at a time?

The Ornates, like the cranwelli will retain water after a good soak........I'm sure some of her bulk is from that. But Ornates are also the Pudgy ones on the family of horned frogs. They are supposed to look like really thick pancakes of Doom.

DeeJay, she is a gorgeous specimen! Like I said earlier, good luck with the aestivation!

Yeah, she was $150 out the door. I have a few more pictures of that Ornata on my phone that I took that day.
