A good baby tank is moist coco fiber substrate with a water dish and a hide plant or cave.
Something like this...
The right side is the warm side of the tank and the left is the cooler. Then he can chose which end he prefers to be in at a given time. With my room a little chilly, I moved his water to the center, but it's usually on the cooler side.
My baby is currently buried in the back right corner with just his eyes peeking.
Does this help?
