    Not really, it's abrasive so it can cause scratches and scrapes on your frogs, Coco-fiber (Eco-Earth by zoo-med) is the best to use because it is digestible and completely safe for all animals. A bag of it goes for 8.99 at my local petco.

    Ehh, It's iffy. It's fine for now, but because of the frogs aggressive eating behaviours you run the risk of impaction (when a piece of something gets stuck in an animals intestine) which is usually fatal. I would get eco-earth as soon as possible. If you don't want your froggie to have dirt on him/her than you can put big leaf litter over the eco earth.
