Dear fellow frog- lovers, We are glad to meet you. 'Wish we'd found this forum sooner. We are the loving owners of a 2 and 1/2 -year-old American Bullfrog named Freckles. She is our daughter's special pet. We are now very concerned about Freckles as she is listless, seems to tip slightly in the water, moves little, and is pretty stiff. Our only hope is that perhaps she was starting to slow down her body movements to get ready to hibernate? We live in a very warm climate so had moved her to a larger tank outside. Temps just dropped this week back below 65, so after about 3 days of cool nights, we're moving her back inside. We hope it's not too late. She's eaten this week (well-fed crickets), but not much. She is quite thin - and also has a whitish bubbly thing protruding very slightly from her mouth on one side. Our daughter thinks her skin looks paler as well. None of this seems good, but not sure what to do. Any chance of a rescue at this point? I read the Dr. section, but am not sure enough about any diagnosis to do a treatment. Any advice? Thanks so much.
