I have had 4 american green tree frogs for 3 years. they have always been pretty subdued and nervous. i have changed their caging severl time to try and make them happy. I have recently put them back in the 33 gal exoterra rainforest and they are calling like crazy. 3 boys and 1 girl. now it appears they are trying to mate .i always thought it was next to impossible without a rain chamber etc. What are the chances of fertile eggs in the water dish some morning?
I have had a similar situation as you. I have two American green tree frogs (I think it's a male and a female) which I believe have tried to mate. However, without a rain chamber, I don't think they will lay eggs in the water bowl. I've seen my frogs in the "amplexus" position (where the male gets on top of the female), but so far, in my water bowl, there have never been eggs. Also, there probably wouldn't be enough oxygen in the the water in the bowl. Hope this helps!
