Default Are they stressing each other out?

Bufo, my male toad, who I have had fo about 3 months now is quite calm, he dosen't get frightned when I pick him up, go near the tank, etc.

But Bruce, my female, who I have had for about a month now is still pretty skittish, and she moves around a lot tries to climb out of the tank, etc., I'm just wondering, could her "fearful behaviour" be stressing my other toad out?

    Thanks

    ~Royce

I added a wild-caught female to my mature male's cage last year. She was fairly skittish early on but I did not observe anything that suggested that her behavior bothered the male. I think you're good! Try adding more hiding spots if she is jumping around and bonking her head a lot... Keep an eye on her nose (so to speak) - if she gets abraded skin, use original Neosporin (WITHOUT PAIN RELIEF!!!!) and dab it daily on the broken skin...

She has stopped trying to escape, jumping, etc. Honestly, I think she was hungry, she wouldn't eat any worms for two days, so I bought crickets, and as soon as I tried to feed her those, there was an imediate feeding response.

Since I changed their substrate to sand, they seem much happier.

No broken skin, or anything like that! I get worried when my toad soaks for longer than normal, nevermind if it was bumping it's head!
