- they need to have at least 5 gallons per puffer because they become aggressive if they do not have their own space
- And they need to have places to hide they love hiding
- They need to have live food in order for them to live a full life (they live for years), trumpet snails, guppy fry, and black worms

My brother has them in 10g tanks with his guppies. There's java moss and java ferns in there along with hundreds of ramshorn snails. They were taken out for these shoots.
