    ok well my guage is near the top so ill move it in a minute and see what it says then. also my tank is not a perfect firebelly tank so it isnt mostly water and i only have a water dish but i do plan on making it better later on. and its weird because the humidity is normaly at 30% with no misting or anything, goes up to 50% after wetting the log, 75% after spraying and wetting log, but a day later its about 10% normaly and misting barely helps. well heres a pic of the setup

    Probably too much ventilation, and a light misting will get evaporated quickly by the heat lamp.

    I would move the light over the waterdish a littlemore (will help evaporate the water, which will raise the humidity) and then cover the other side of the tank with some plastic, or something. I would hide a clear piece of plastic wedged under the lid against the tank.

    I agree. You are definitely losing a lot of humidity through the open top. Just cover part of the top and move the light and you should be all set.

    well today one of my firebellys escaped. my favourite one and he climbed right out and i cant find him. never locked lid so he got out. he was the one that was hiding so i aint so concerned now but im going to look into another lid cause i havent got one yet and i might just cover part of the screen with a peice of plastic or something. thanks for the help guys
