    Question Soaking In Water Dish?

Just a quick question, I know that frogs will soak in their water dishes to absorb water in through their skin cause they don't actually drink the water. Is it ok though for him to be in his water for hours on end. I caught my little one in his around five am and he is still in it and it is now almost 8am. I can see his throat flexing so I know that he is still alive. I am just wondering if it is ok for him to do it for hours?

You will find them doing it often but I would also check your humidity levels and remember that humidity gauges are not the most accurate things.
I try to select a gauge that is reading similar to other gauges on a display at the store.
1.0.0 Red Eyed Leaf/ Frog - Agalychnis callidryas
1.1.1 Bumblebee Dart Frog - Dendrobates leucomelas
1.1.0 Dendrobates truncatus - Yellow Striped
1.1.1 Dendrobates tinctorius – Bakhuis Mountain
    1.1.0 - Dendrobates tinctorius - Powder Blue
    1.1.0 - Ranitomeya vanzolinii

I have a plexiglass lid on my terrarium, and keep the humidity at 90% and my toads will still soak for a long time, especially if the water is luke warm, it relaxes them. What do you have for a lid on your terrarium?

"Usually" they're back in bed when the lights come on. I would verify the accuracy of you humidity gauges.

Yeah the guage I am using is old. I would like to get one that uses a probe instead of sitting inside the tank.
