last night i gave Thor some fruitflies, it didnt look like too many. but this morning i am seeing them all over the place! there was around 15 to 20 that i saw, two of whom were pestering thor. I didnt know if i was supposed to.. but i intervened. i also "exterminated" a few of the wandering fruit flies, but not all of them. is it okay to have the fruit flies walking around during the day while thor is trying to sleep? can they bite him!? i cant tell if he ate any either.. because there are way more in there than i thought there was.
-Thor seems unmoved by the flies though, he is still where i found him this morning, soaking in the water dish.
You can add a small piece of friut which will help keep the flies in a central location that can be called a feeding station.
It should attract many of them but not usually all. The flies will be fine roaming around the tank.

Since you posted it in the "Food, Feeders, Live, Frozen, Culturing, etc"-section, I don't really know what kind of frog it is (although I'm guessing it's a tree frog due to the fact that you said he's sleeping in the day), but if it's a bigger frog, he might not even consider such small animals as food.
And I've never heard anything about fruit flies actually harming frogs, since they don't have mandibles, teeth or even a mouth to harm the frogs with.
Thanks Don!
and i posted it in food, because thats what i was dealing with. but yes- he is a tree frog, and he is very small still so the only option i had at the pet store that was small enough was fruit flies, and ive never dealt with them before.
