Default New sprayer makes frogs jump!

I bought a spray bottle for my WTF, zoo med brand $3.99 at petsmart. Then i found out why it was so cheap, it didn't work well at all. So i went back and got the mister, same brand only $9.99 this time, thinking it would work a lot better...but it didn't. So off to lowes i went to find something a little more powerful. I found a garden mister in the pesticide section for $4.99. One spray with this thing, and my froggies went nuts! They started jumpin up and down on the leaf and then starting jumping all over the tank, and were very active the rest of the day.
I am assuming that they are enjoying it.
Anyone else seen this, are they enjoying the rain, or are they freaking out?

I'm sure you did this ! BUT- was the sprayer really cleaned well ?
I , personally , would worry about that since it was a purchased form the "pesticide section . "

The only problem he would have to worry about buying a mister from the garden / pesticide section would be cross contamination. A good thorough rinse with soap and water all over the plastic and handle part will fix this. Also if the plastic has a strong smell, or a plastic that might contain BPA or other harmful chemicals that could leach from the plastic; I would advise you throw it out. Safe plastic numbers found on the bottom of the recycling symbol - #2, 4, 5; bad plastic numbers - #1, 3, 7. Misters in the gardening / pesticide section are actually made really well, heave duty and larger than your common spray bottles or 'reptile' spray bottles found in Petco, etc.

A common alternative for people who don't want to go out and spend a lot of money on misting systems for their terrariums.

Yea i made sure that the plastic was safe, and then washed it with soap , and reverse osmoses water, then treated it with repticlean treated water. It did have a funny smell, but it went away. The new Viv i am working on for them will have a misting system, so this is just a temp for a few weeks until its ready for move in. Thanks for all the tips
