Well after a month I finally picked up this guy from Petsmart yesterday. Wasn't sure I was quite ready for another pyxie but my wife kinda help give me that extra push. Guess she got fed up with me make 30 miles round trip almost every weekend to see how it was progressing so she finally said you better buy this frog today because we're not coming back here again.
This guy is not the most colorful young pyxie I have seen but he makes it up with his personality, super jumpy and snappy.
Next to US quarter for size reference.
Getting upset so he puffed himself all the way up and was moving his body side to side. That didn't work so he started trying to go after my hands lol.
.
I like him or her dude, looks very healthy for coming from Petsmart. Glad that you saved him though, I know that he's in experienced hands now. Have fun raising him and update us with your awesome pictures you always show us.
To me if I had to sex it, I am leaning more on the side of a female than a male.
Hm, yeah. I guess some of the pictures show somewhat of a resemblance in a male. Some of the other angle shots make me believe that it is a female, but yeah I'm most likely wrong. The head characteristics look more like a female to me.
That is a nice frog. Nice call by your wife. I couldn't have waited a month to pull the trigger on a pixie like that.
Congrats on your new pixie. Very nice ,and healthy. Blow him 70%,her 30% up. Time will tell. The first pics show the male, and the last show the female percentage..The spots on the throut shows a female.
Very nice pick up. Looks super healthy. And its a girl.
Congrats on the new frog. I haven't seen a pyxie in petsmart around here for awhile now.
I haven't seen a pixie in pet smart period! I'm leaning toward a female 100%.
My vote goes male.
I hope it is a male because mine looks just like it! If a male is what you want that is.
Thats a very nice frog with good markings. I wish petsmart here had them. i have 2 close by and they dont even carry pacs.
I hope I'm wrong, and its a male. I wish you the best anyway.
Yeah I haven't seen any pacs or abf's around at any of my Petsmart's. That's clearly a good thing, they learned the hard way I guess.
I can't tell either way if it's male or female.

Thanks for comments everyone.
I'm 100% certain this one is a male. I understand in most of the pictures it has puffed itself up with air(defense) in order to make itself look bigger so it's head structure is not clearly defined but in the first two pictures you can really see it's true head structure.
im thinking male, there looks can be decieving when they blow them selves up, the first couple of pics are the one's i would go of
congrats,
cheers spencer.............
