Hi everyone,
I was in my yard today in central New Jersey and found this resting on my deck. I guess it's a toad but would like to know much more about it. I'm no authority and it may be common but I've never seen one of theses.
A photo is attached.
Thanks for the help,

It is a grey tree frog. We found one a couple months ago, but I had never seen one before that. They are pretty cool looking!
That's a grey tree frog. A protected species in new jersey. Do not keep it. if you're found with that thing you go to the slammer.
Thanks to both of you for your assistance. About 30 minutes after I spotted him he hopped away.
You're welcome. Just be carefull. law enforcers in new jersey are kind of butt-heads. From personal opinion, but yeah.
