Petco's Whites

I went by Petco today. Their Whites are in terrible condition. I think I am going to start rescuing them, one by one.

Lol. You're not rescuing them; you're just replacing them for new ones. What that means is; you're giving them money for a sick animal-- when they're just going to buy MORE at a low dirt cost and sell it for a higher profit. Which in turns some other poor sap(not directed at you) goes in there and buys it. That's the trap bro.

Oh no, I am a poor sap. You are right. They prey on me. They've had these four for at least a month, and only one of them looks like he is going to make it another week. They don't have any foliage, a little tree bark hide that would work for a pacman, but not a tree frog. I guess I'll just stay away, because one more trip and they're coming home with me.

I'll tell you how you fix them. You go to the display and tell them to give you a discount so the frog can live. If the frog stays in these conditions he will die.. That multi unit they keep them in stinks.This approach works for me. Good luck.

That is the bad thing about stopping into one of these store... the wanting to rescue them, only to have them just do the same to more frogs.
If they (as was discussed numerous time here) wanted to sell product and healthy frogs, having a more realistic and healthy home with healthy animals wold sell more than just the frogs or lizards for that matter.

When you see a beautiful or designed even with fake plants and vines enclosure, your more than likely going to sell the decor and not just the stressed and sickly frogs.

Personally. I bought a white's tree frog the other day from them. The guys were selling it as a chubby frog. Lol. The images were both different and they couldn't tell the difference. So I kinda scammed them(call it what you like); and got it for 8bucks. When they actually sell for 20. It's a juvi. Not fully grown. maybe like 2-3inches. Ussually the lowest these frogs go anywhere is 17bucks. They got ripped off cause I know to the store they normall buy them for 8bucks each. xD You know what I mean? whatever they buy--- they double the price. Say goldfish? I saw a pearlscale goldfish. Really rare fish to find. It looked ill. but I didn't buy it to "save it" I bought it cause I wanted a dang goldfish. LOL They accidentally mislabeled it as common goldfish and got it for 16 cents. LOL Just saying.

Sometimes just take advantage of them if you have to. Like. Okay if you want to save the animal. Think about it. If its high priced--- don't do it. It's a large risk. If it's mislabeled like they ussually do. Then take advantage of it and con them out of it.

Think about it--- they con people all the time. And sure I'm sure people here will probably give me the stink eye for saying it's alright to do it. But. In all honesty-- I actually don't care. They should be paying attention to what they sell and now that's a reason for them to get educated. But here's a tip for anyone and everyone. Frogs are sensitive creatures. If they're dirt crud conditions. And I don't mean what "YOU" think is dirt crud. I'm talking about realistic. If the frog looks like it's about to die-- don't buy it. It'll die on you. Some animals will die no matter how much you try to help them if they're at this stage. If they look sick, but like they can make it. Then sure go for it-- within reason. Don't just feed their cycle and buy a 200dollar animal that's first off overly priced, sick, and about to drop dead. You know?
