First Pinky!

I think Bufo, my "large" (2.5" long ) male toad Bufo is ready for a pinky!

I'm going into town tomorrow, and I'm going to buy two pinkies, and see if bufo will eat one, that is if they are small enough, not exactly sure how big they are?

Here's a photo of him, had a hard time getting it, no way he was going to sit still, roughly 2.7" long... he was under .5" when I got him!


Another two, there not the greatest, but gotta recharge the batteries for my DSLR, and Bufo dosen't seem to like the camera...

What kind of frog do you have? Pacman?

I was actually quite suprised at the outcome of the feeding...:

I put Bufo & Bruce (Bruce is the smaller black female toad in my avatar and albums) on their feeding mat, and dropped two pinkies in front of them. I figured the aggressive eater Bufo (male) would nail it, and he wasn't even interested! Bruce on the other hand, who is smaller, and far less aggressive was in complete stalkin' mode, but she couldn't figure out how to grab it, so I pushed it closer with my hand, and she hit it in the head with her tongue (to no affect) so I just pushed it even closer, and she bent her head down, and grabbed it!

I'm currently uploading the video to youtube, I didn't think she was going to even try to eat it, so I didn't catch her grabing it on film, but I have the rest.
