Whats the setup like . Can you tell us or show some pics. You might have to get the right size heat pad. As the light goes. you can get a way with a 25 watt bulb.![]()
I use 50 watt incandescent lights and UTH. Make sure the UTH is on the side. Pacman frogs do occationally completely submerge themselves in their substrate. Both of mine do it about once every 2 weeks. The lights are fine as long as it isn't above 50 watts. If you feel your frog doesn't like the light you can buy a fake plant to shade him with. I've had lights on mine ever since I purchased them. No ill effects. Just make sure your substrate stays moist. Extra light and heat can dry it out faster. Just make sure that you have a tempreture gradient. Place the light in the center of the tank. Place the UTH on the opposite side of the tank from the water dish. Where the water dish is should be the cool side. Be sure to make the substrate on the cool side a little extra moist but not muddy. It is a good idea if you have lights to buy the lamps with the dimmer switch so you can adjust the heat and light output of the light. Be sure that you're using incandescent bulbs with the lamp with the dimmer switch not fluorescents. You can't use the dimmer lamp with fluorescents.
