Total body burrowing

What is the temp /humidity. What time is it by you. These guys sleep all day. Does he have a water bowl. Is his substrate moist. I would live him alone buried. When he gets hungry ,hell come out. Don't bother him.You will stress him out. check up on him tonight. Late night they get active.

The temp is like 75-80. The substrate is quite moist. He has access to a water bowl. It is day. I was just curious because I mean I know they burrow but I had never seen it this complete. Not even his eyes are visible. I just added a heat lamp. That might have something to do with it. He's shedding. Maybe that has something to do with it?
I will leave him be and see what happens. Thanks

My pacman tends to do this quite often. She does come out at night, Although she doesn't move around much. Just let it be and don't stress it out. Good luck!

Well he sure as hell can't survive at 55-60 degrees.

No, he can't survive those low temps......so you need a UTH. That way he has a cool & a hot side and can decide which he wants to be on. These are NOCTURNAL frogs.........they don't do sunlight, so a light is not needed. If you can afford a heat lamp, you can afford a UTH. Make sure temps stay between 80-86 degrees F during the day and mid 70's - 82 at night. Humidity should be 60% to 80% and the substrate is moist but NOT drenched. make sure the water is de-chlorinated as well.

Mine does this often. Even though she has ideal temps/humidity she decides to bury herself. She comes up whenever it's time to eat though.

I do have a UTH. I had been using only that until it got cold. It's no longer creating enough temperatures.

Whats the setup like . Can you tell us or show some pics. You might have to get the right size heat pad. As the light goes. you can get a way with a 25 watt bulb.

You jumped the gun lol . Like Jessica said you get a heat pad thats made for the size of your tank and put it on the side. Never on the bottom . Don't get nervous we are here to help you. Everything is going to be alright. The light could stress him. Go with the heat pads.
