I am a bit of a night owl. I have my frog's tank in the darkest area of my condo, but it still gets a bit of light at night. Does anyone cover their frog's tank at night?

Not sure about covering the whole tank but covering a side or two to lower the amount of light should be fine. Are they active at night?

yeah, he is very active at night. All my friends are giving me **** about having to be quiet and keep the lights low for the frog. I thought a cover ala bird style might be a good idea. It's a 10 gallon tank. I have seen people keep them in tuperware sealed up before, so my guess is that they do not consume a high volume of oxygen, at least not 10 gallons in a night. The ultimate goal is to have the most stress free environment for him.
When I used a 10 gallon tank, I did cover the sides of tank with an old shirt. I now use a plastic tub wear that I modified for my frogs needs. It's perfect for her, she's more active and happier than ever. The tub holds moisture and heat very well. But I own a pac man so they don't move around very much I wouldn't use plastic for a tree frog or something that likes to get around.
