    Hi everyone!

Welcome aboard. I have a fire skink too. Why do they always call them "true" fire skinks? I have never seen a false one. That has always confused me.

When ever I see them for sale in the pet stores, 9 out of 10 times it says "true" fire skink on the tag.

Hmm I havn't seen them labeled that. Welcome. Did you breed your skinks to get the two babies? Is it a regular snapper or a alligator snapper?

    Thanks for the replies everyone.

Yes, i did. they had 12 eggs before and since i can't incubate eggs they died , and than i got the petstore to incubate them, and the two babies died, and then i had 2 more babies, and now one died on Friday, but the other one is healthy and growing. Here is a pic of the baby:

    The dad:

My 1 year old common snapper:

Thats pretty much the whole crew except my 21 hermit crabs and my dog

Wow, baby fire skinks look so much different that the adults do. Very pretty! I can't handle my skink, she is dead-said against it. The snapper looks very proud of himself. The painted turtle I am guessing is a midland, C. p. marginata.

I love the Snapper how much does he weigh?
That is sad about the skinks. The guy at a local pet store let me try to hold one she was dead against it too, gave me a nice bite.

Thanks guys! My skinks are overall nice
The snapper is actually really nice, and sweet. and smart, and cute. Couldn't live without him or any of my others . My painted is a western from what i know, but i could be wrong since i found her.
He's around 4-5 pound atleast he was a few months ago, wait that was in july, time passes quick!
Well, i think skinks just need to get more used to you, like it took my female a month to let me handle her good, and my male, he still jumps off my hand after a few seconds. Thanks for the welcomes guys!

I don't mind answering! She's a female and 4 inches long (shell length) and 3 inches wide, she's much smaller than my snapper!
