That guy's huge! Never seen a American Bullfrog (that's what it is, right?) in that color before. Very beautiful!

I so wish that it was legally possible to keep these guys over here.

I've seen some bullfrogs growing up that were even larger than that big fella. I haven't seen one as large as the frog in your pic though for a long time. I always wonder what happened to these giants? I guess polution and habitat loss might be to blame for them not reaching such monstr sizes anymore. Its sad.

I found an american toad that size, she was easily 6"+ accross the back.

Yeah me too. Very large and fat. Its been quite a few years ago for me. I miss finding wild frogs and toads of these sizes. I once saw a very bright yellow frog in a creek bed that was low. It was colorec like a Golden Mantella yet those are rather small and aren't from here so I'm not sure what it was. Maybe its an exstinct species. I have never seen such bright color on a wild frog in Ohio ever again. I still wonder what it was today and will never forget. It was definetly a water frog though as it jumped in the creek when I got close enough to get a good look. I was like 13 or 14 then.
