A frog digests near all to all of the cricket, while he's digesting the cricket he is also digesting the dust and or vitamins that the cricket has eaten. That's why a lot of people gut load their crickets (means feed their crickets before feeding the crickets to the animal that they got them for). If the crickets won't eat the dust plain then coat the food you give them with the dust, they'll ingest it then. Remember to dust the outside of the cricket as well when you give them to your frog, that way he'll get double the dust and calcium

There are several high calcium cricket foods and water sources out there for gut loading crickets. There are also several multivitamin brands and calcium dust brands. I use herpavite vitamin dust and flukers calcium dust with D3.
